QUEST Trailblazers (Grades 6–8) Where Curiosity Leads and Innovation Follows.
At MARS Microschools, our middle schoolers don't just study history—they broadcast it.
The QUEST Trailblazers cohort is designed for students
who are ready to explore their world through creativity,
critical thinking, and cutting-edge tools.
Through dynamic, hands-on projects and weekly campus experiences, learners immerse
themselves in real-world challenges: Creating original podcasts
that bring U.S. History to life.
Navigating the world of robotics and engineering. Mastering essential
platforms like Microsoft Teams and ChatGPT for academic and professional growth.
Leading their own learning journeys through student-driven exploration.
QUEST kids develop more than just skills—they grow into confident
storytellers, collaborators, and trailblazers equipped for tomorrow’s world.
Trailblazers will explore the parts of speech and level up to sentence structure and clarity. With support from MARS’ AI tools, Sentence Sorcerer and WordCraft. They’ll turn grammar into creativity, mastering writing with style and purpose.
Trailblazers will strengthen their math skills through three engaging experiences: Unlock Math’s interactive, mastery-based lessons; the Stock Market Game, which teaches investing and financial literacy through real-world simulation; and MARS’ Algebra Chart Keepers Quest, where students solve weekly real-world problems using patterns, models, and charts—all supported by guided practice and chat journaling.
Questers will explore history from the 800s to today through weekly themes like art, government, and key events. They’ll choose topics to research, then create a podcast with Soundtrap and write a short essay—blending storytelling and research to connect past and present.
Trailblazers will dive into physics discoveries through hands-on tech exploration, using tools like drones to understand motion, energy, and forces in action. They'll connect theory to real-world applications, uncovering how physics shapes innovations across science, engineering, and everyday life.
In addition to core subjects, Trailblazers will gain hands-on experience with a wide range of technologies—just a sampling includes programming Micro:bits, exploring challenges in Minecraft Education, learning Python through Ozaria, and expressing creativity in Digital Art class. But that’s just the beginning. Throughout the year, students will continue discovering new tools and platforms designed to spark innovation, build digital confidence, and support diverse ways of learning.
